The SSD Reviewers Guide to SSD Optimization 2018

TSSDR TEST BENCH AND PROTOCOL

Our testing throughout this report will rely on two test systems and more than a few SSDs to include the Samsung 960 Pro 2TB NVMe, Toshiba RD400 512GB NVMe,  and Samsung 860 Pro 4TB SATA 3 SSD.  We can tell you right off that we discovered an anomaly with a drive so went through five of the exact drive to validate that the result we were seeing was the norm.  During our testing, both PC systems will be used to demonstrate the performance difference with optimizations applied and removed, or the difference from one system or another to demonstrate how a chipset could affect final performance results.  Check Amazon pricing on the newest 2TB Samsung 960 Pro NVMe SSD here.
