ADATA XPG SX8200 Pro 1TB NVMe SSD Review

REVIEW ANALYSIS AND FINAL THOUGHTS

With so much of the industry leaning on the Phison controller in the last bit, it is great to see the ADATA XPG SX8200 Pro showing off what the SMI SM2262EN controller is capable of.  Performance wise, it masy be listed at being just a tad under the performance of Phison, but we believe it would be very hard to differentiate between the two in real life use.  These are both premium controllers and, in fact, we might have a very strong point in our view that the ADATA is a top drive in true data transfers,

Our performance results top out  at 3.5GB/s read and 3GB/s write performance, with truly outstanding returns in PCMark 8 Storage 2.0 results with a bandwidth average of 674MB/s which, once again, is one of the top returns to date for M.2 SSDs.  We think some of the key takeaways for this SSD lie in its performance, availability in several capacities, 5-year warranty which is a plus in comparison to so many others with 3-year warranties…and value.  At $182 for the 1TB version we are testing today, it is a great price for a top-tier SSD that you can count on.

Agaim, a non usable review, as tests using only 1gb uses slc cache so these are mp real numbers, You are not a pro. A pro rrview must use at least 32Gb tedts

The SM* controllers are said, in others reviews, to have really bad power to performance ratio. I wish you would test the power consumption of this drive.
