TSSDR TEST BENCH AND PROTOCOL
Flash Testing at TSSDR differs slightly, depending on whether we are looking at consumer or enterprise storage media. For our Transcend CFexpress 820 Type B Memory Card testing today, our goal is to test in a system that has been optimized with our SSD Optimization Guide. Specific to the UEFI however, CPU C-States, Enhanced Intel SpeedStep Technology (EIST) and Intel Speedshift (P-States) have not been disabled as they offer no performance boost to 11th Gen systems such as ours. As you will see below, the system is also bumped to 5.3GHz with memory at full speed in its XMP 2 profile.

BENCHMARK SOFTWARE
The software in use for today’s analysis is typical of many of our reviews and consists of Crystal Disk Info, ATTO Disk Benchmark, Crystal Disk Mark, Anvil’s Storage Utilities, AJA, and TxBench. Our selection of software allows each to build on the last and to provide validation to results already obtained.
In addition, we will be closing the report off with our temperature, sustained performance and true data transfer testing.
TRANSCEND RECOVERX DATA RECOVERY SOFTWARE
Another absolutely free Transcend software utility (again click title) is Transcend Recoverx which is a data recovery program and also provides an avenue for disk formatting.
Crystal Disk Info is a great tool for displaying the characteristics and health of storage devices. It displays everything from temperatures, the number of hours the device has been powered, and even to the extent of informing you of the firmware of the device.
This Crystal Disk Info score validates that we are running in UASP (NVM Express), rather than PCIe 3.0 x2 which would be displayed if we were testing in Thunderbolt 3/4.
