Gigabyte Displays Show Stopper X11 Carbon Fiber Ultrabook – Computex 2012 Update

If good looking and powerful are what you are looking for in the worlds lightest ultrabook, hold your seats because Gigabyte is about to wow the world with their new carbon fiber X11 Ultra and we have the goods at Computex 2012.

To quote this ultra as attractive is an understatement as our pictures can’t  do this machine justice.  As it is ONLY 2.1lbs, 0.65″ thick  and available in an i5 or i7 configuration with a 128GB SSD, this could very well be the worlds smallest, lightest and most powerful ultrabook.

Available only in a 11.6″ form factor, the X11 also has 1366×768 resolution with Intel HD4000 graphics, 4GB standard DDR3 RAM, a USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 port, a mini display port, micro card SD slot and of course wi-fi and bluetooth.

Also standard are such things as a 1.3 megapixel camera, glass fiber trackpad, and close to a full size keyboard with a street price below the $1000 mark; the X11 just may be the closest system we have seen to Intel’s ultra standards yet.

blankblankFor this fan, the beauty of this ultrabook lies as much in the carbon-fiber exterior as it does in the powerful interior and it is a definite on the ‘must have’ list this summer. Here are a few shots resting on my Toshiba Z830, my favorite choice in an ultra…until this morning.  Granted the Z830 is a 13.3″ form factor, it was the thinnest ultra available until it was compared to the X11 which, at it’s thinnest point is only 3mm thick.

And a few extras before we hit the floor once again…
