The PGM12 is a ProGrade Digital brand new release and had not even hit Amazon at the time of this report. It builds on the ever-popular single and dual slot PG Type-A readers with an added benefit for those smartphone photo enthusists. It is much smaller, allows fast direct transfers from your phone to a laptop, and still maintains those USB 3.2 transfer speeds.
In the package, you get the reader with USB-C attached for direct-connect to your smartphone, a short cable to attach to your laptop or PC, and two metal ProGrade plates for magnetic connect just about anywhere. Today’s CFExpress Type-A cards reach 900MB/s throughput transfer speeds as this reader has shown here:
The fact that this is so small and portable makes this an excellent option for those photog/videographers always looking for that extra storage medium. Quite frankly, I have never had use for CFExpress A until this thought just a few minutes ago.
