Runcore Introduces First SATA 3 mSATA SSD & Joins US Marketplace

Runcore has made a bold move in expanding for the first time from their China facility to San Jose, California, in order to make an impact in North American SSD sales.

Concurrently, they will also be releasing the markets first SATA 3 mSATA SSD, the Runcore Pro V T50, which contains the SF-2281 and is capable of  550MB/s read and 470MB/s write transfer speeds and capable of 60,000 IOPS at 4k aligned write disk access.

This release shows Runcore as no less than an innovator in the SSD arena as the T50 will not only be the smallest and fastest of its kind, but also the first.

This is great news for Sandy Bridge notebooks such as the Samsung Series 9 whos owners believe that SATA 3 storage in these notebooks should be no less than a standard inclusion.

The new Pro V T50 will be available in capacities of 30, 60 and 120GB capacities and will have a 3 year warranty as will Runcores other new release of the Pro V I50 mSATA SSD which will have similar capacities and be capable of 280MB/s read and 270MB/s write as it is intended for SATA 2 systems.

As far as pricing goes, initial estimates put the T50 at $198 and $358 for the 60 and 120GB capacities with the I50 being a bit lower at $178 and $308 for same capacities.  The price might seem a bit high but is a necessity as higher density NAND flash memory is required for the mSATA form factor.

Congratulations to Runcore for their big jump to the North American market as well as their foresight with respect to the need for a SATA 3 mSATA SSD such as the Pro V T50.

Stay tuned as The SSD Review will have a complete and exclusive first review up with the next few weeks!
