It is not often that we report on something non-storage but we just happened to come across a display showing the Intel Wildcat Lake Core 7 360 platform at the Phison booth today. Could this have been an Intel slip? We certainly aren’t aware of many similar sightings of such in the wild.
This just happens to coincide with Phison’s release earlier today which speaks to a collaboration between Intel and Phison with respect to aiDAPTIV specifically.
We couldn’t get any direct answers but common sense seems to be that we just might be seeing Intel client notebooks with that Core 7 360 and Phison aiDAPTIV sometime in the near future. Having spent some time with Phison learning about aiDAPTIV this past CES, I can say that it was only a matter of time for this amazing software.
You can read more on the collaboration between Phison and Intel here and make your own mind up with respect to what may be occuring between the two. From that release…
“AI PCs are evolving into platforms for more sophisticated local AI workloads, including agentic applications and larger MoE models that place increasing demands on memory capacity and responsiveness,” said KS Pua, CEO and Founder at Phison Electronics. “Through our collaboration with Intel, aiDAPTIV helps expand the necessary memory available to AI workloads on Intel AI PC platforms, allowing OEMs, developers and end users to run more capable AI applications locally while maintaining privacy and infrastructure efficiency.”
