3DMARK STORAGE GAMING BENCHMARK
UL Solutions has created a new storage gaming benchmark that we will start to use as new SSDs come in. The 3DMark Storage Benchmark DLC extends 3DMark Advanced Edition with a dedicated component test for measuring the gaming performance of SSDs and other storage hardware. It supports all the latest storage technologies and tests practical, real-world gaming performance for activities such as loading games, saving progress, installing game files, and recording gameplay video streams.
The Yottamaster T7400 placed in the bottom third of 3DMark Storage Benchmark which is what might be expected as this benchmark is the trues real world type test available.
REPORT ANALYSIS AND FINAL THOUGHTS
The Yottamaster T7400 TitansFlow Gen4 2TB SSD is as new as it gets considering that it isn’t even up on the Yottamaster website just yet…but it is at Amazon. One cannot help but compare the newest T7400 to the Y7000 Pro we tested not two weeks back. It is always an interesting comparison when just about the only difference between the two physically is that the Y7000 had QLC while this SSD has moved up in caliber to 232-layer TLC memory…and runs at 2400MT/s. That may not make that much of difference on the speed sheet but it is just a better build. Having said that, we are curious why Yottamaster wouldn’t have marketing this with a DRAM cache to see if they could boost those results even more.
Still, the Yottamaster T7400 does bring in 7.1GB/s reads with 6.3GB/s writes and it does give us that promised 1 million read and write IOPS. Add on that 5-year limited warranty along with Yottamasters incredibly low pricing and this SSD may have a great deal of success at days end. I like that they include so much in the package and they go all out for high performance in a relatively cool solution. Each package contains the T7400 Gen4 SSD, a copper heatsink cover, silicone thermal padding, a screw driver and screw. There is not another manufacturer on the market that does that.
