3D MARK STORAGE GAMING BENCHMARK
UL Solutions has created a new storage gaming benchmark that we will start to use as new SSDs come in. The 3DMark Storage Benchmark DLC extends 3DMark Advanced Edition with a dedicated component test for measuring the gaming performance of SSDs and other storage hardware. It supports all the latest storage technologies and tests practical, real-world gaming performance for activities such as loading games, saving progress, installing game files, and recording gameplay video streams.
The Lexar Professional NM1090 Pro Gen5 SSD once again made Top 10 in 3DMark, reaching that coverted 10th spot which w as excellent.

REPORT ANALYSIS AND FINAL THOUGHTS
It was great getting a Lexar product in our hand once again and we think they made a great choice in going with both the SM2508 SSD controller and Micron B58r NAND flash memory. Having said that, performance seemed to be a hit and miss and could be viewed through two angles. In one respect, the Lexar Professional NM1090 Pro pulled through with Top 10 results amongst all SSD we have ever tested (PCMark 10 Quick System Test, Passmark DiskMark, 3DMark Storage), yet in the other, our True Data Testing regimen and the Final Fantasy Game Loading benchmark were a bit low.
By the book, the Lexar Professional NM1090 Pro has met all listed specs and reached 14GB/s data transfer speeds as well as over 2 miliion IOPS, al the while maintaining cool operating temps, even though it is technically a two-sided SSD.
