Perhaps, the most interesting aspect of the Samsung Portable T7 Shield is what can be done with faster portable SSDs as we their increase data transfer speeds. The biggest question of course is whether this is compatible with PS5 and XBox to which all reports come back with a resounding yes. One can also load Windows onto such a drive and use it on-the-go, booting from the T7 Shield on other PCs for security and peace of mind. Last but not least, the Type-C port on this portable SSD allows for data transfer from smartphones and other portable systems that allow.
The Samsung Portable T7 Shield is a great investment where the movement of higher volumes of faster data transfer is necessary and the added benefit of data security is always a plus. As much as we might like to have seen a 5-year warranty, vice the limited 3-year warranty, pricing is decent and there are assorted colours and sizes to choose from, albeit tan would definitely not have been our first choice.
