We were the first to test enterprise SSDs, beginning with Paul Alcorn’s review of the Areca 1880ix-12 PCIe 6G SAS RAID Controller way back in March of 2011. We have been fortunate to have had some of the worlds best enterprise SSD reviewers to include, Paul Alcorn, Chris Ryan and Sean Webster, as well as maybe a ghost writer or two throughout the years. Due in part to the fact that such reviewers are a rarity in the industry, or too many tasks at hand from a personal standpoint, enterprise reviews have been pushed back just a bit. Well…maybe more than just a bit! Not today though! This is the frst step in the start of a new day
Intel’s kind provision and our receipt of their Intel® Xeon® w7-2595X Processor is the first piece of our newest enterprise SSD build. There are many pieces still to be obtained, along with our attendance at Flash Memory Summit, San Jose, in August and some great tutelage from long time peers such as Jon Coulter and Allyn Malventavo which is icing on the cake. It doesn’t get better than that!
