SanDisk Extreme 240GB SSD Available Today at Rock Bottom Prices

If you have been holding back on that SSD purchase for ‘just the right price’, you might want to take a close look at the SanDisk Extreme ‘LSI SandForce Driven’ SSD at Amazon right now.

It seems the Extreme is being let go at an all time low of $169blank for the 240GB version right now which is a drop of $230 (or 58%) off of its original selling price of $399.99.  This price point seems to be the all time low and new ‘line in the sand’ for a few sales lately.

The beauty of this price is that it is attached to one of the fastest and top performing SSDs on the market and goes a long way for value when you consider it is available at .70/GB.

Hop over to Amazon on the link below and grab one while you can!  Also, for those seeking other capacities, the 120GB is priced at $94blank and the 480GB at $363blank.

Not bad for an SSD with one of the highest customer ratings we have seen on Amazon yet!

Yesterday, Staples had this model on sale online for $119. It quickly sold out.

In europe even if the prices goes down it’s still expensive than the average price in U.S.
I’m thinking maybe I should I buy some hardware in States and bring it home?

These overall plummeting prices are very impressive…but the REAL kicker is that IMFT 20nm and Tosh 19nm toggle are now starting to show up in new drives…well the 19nm has so far in Plextor’s M5P, but I’m sure IMFTs 20nm will pop up anytime now. Both of these new chips cost even less to mass produce than do the current 25nm/24nm chips. So be prepared for even lower prices in the VERY near future. On a side note, I’m betting the upcoming Indilinx Barefoot 3 will launch with 20nm or 19nm or both even…yielding a standard and enthusiast (maxiop) version. The timing lines up perfect as both new nands should be fully ramped up by launch time.

It’s up to $178 now, which is still a great price.

Sadly, it’s a moot point for me, since Amazon will not ship it to Canada.
