PCMARK 10 FULL SYSTEM STORAGE BENCHMARK
PCMark 10 Storage Benchmarks produce an overall score as a measure of drive performance. Comparing devices is as simple as comparing scores. The tests also measure and report the bandwidth and average access time performance for the drive. Each test uses traces recorded while performing real-world tasks such as booting Windows 10, starting applications such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, working with applications such as Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, and copying several large files and many small files.
The Crucial T710 Gen5 2TB SSD placed fifth of all SSDs tested to date and, coincidentally, right in front of its Micron 4600 twin.
PCMARK 10 QUICK SYSTEM STORAGE BENCHMARK
The Quick System Drive Benchmark is a subset of the Full test and is more representative of typical daily usage to show what would be expected regarding hybrid SSD performance on a day-to-day basis.
The Crucial T710 Gen5 SSD placed second of all SSDs tested to date and right in front of its previous Gen T705.
TRUE DATA TESTING
For our True Data Testing, we simply loaded 15GB video, music, photo and OS files onto the Crucial; T710 Gen5 2TB SSD and copied the data to a new folder on that same disk.
The Crucial T710 Gen5 SSD is the second fastest SSD tested in our real world data transfer testing to date, just behind the WD_Black SN8100 and, once again, right beside its twin Micron 4600.
PASSMARK PERFORMANCE TEST
We thought we might add a few extras in our report today, PassMark Performance Test DiskMark component being a nice addition. This software tests sequential reads and writes, along with IOPS and compares the result with millions of other SSDs worldwide. We might suggest being in the 99th percentile of all SSDs tested was a nice resul
The Crucial T710 placed 2nd in the top ten SSDs we have tested to date and is in the 99th percentile of all SSDs tested worldwide by this benchmark.
FINAL FANTASY XIV: ENDWALKER BENCHMARK
The Final Fantasy Benchmark is a new tool in our arsenal and geared specifically to the gamer. The software is installed directly on the SSD and the SSD tested, providing and end result of FPS and scene transition times.
Game load time testing for the Crucial T710 came in at 5.6 seconds, fourth of all SSDs tested to date.

Thanks so much for this Les. You promised and you delivered. It will be interesting to see which one, WD or Crucial, finishes on top when the WD heatsink versions become available. And a white version wouldn’t hurt. Now on to the 4th of July and Labor Days sales!
In the last bar chart of page 4 (Final Fantasy XIV) one of the bars is labeled “WD_Black SN850X Gen5 8TB”. Shouldn’t that be Gen4?
You are absolutely correct and thank you. Will amend for future charts, as well as past charts as time permits!
