SanDisk microSDXC Express 256GB Memory Card and Pro-Reader Dual Card Review

Nintendo Switch 2 is all the rage and if you are a gamer, the upgrade and understanding of the newest SDXC Express Memory is is an asset.  To so many, it reflects no more than a massive price jump in microSD cards.  To those in the know,  microSD Express speaks to a 3x jump in data game loads from that card, moving game scenes from 300MB/s to faster than 900MB/s theoretically.

A bit more complicated of an explanation perhaps but, UHS-I is restricted by its bus interface whereas direct connect is established to higher speeds through the PCIe interface of microSDXC Express.  We have published two reports on the ADATA Premier Extreme and Lexar Play Pro SDXC Express Cards recently.  Check them out!

Our report today is on the SanDisk microSDXC Express 256GB Memory Card and, fortunate for us, SanDisk also sent along its Pro-Reader SD Express Dual Card Reader as well.  This was a very good thing as the Pro-Reader provides a method of thermal dissipation when the microSD card heats up during testing, whereas our original card readers provided some time ago did not.
