INTEL 710 200GB SSD X 2 IN RAID 0
As Intel was kind enough to send along two 710 samples, we thought it appropriate to do a bit of RAID testing. After all, its most likely that this SSD will be used in a data center and in configurations much higher than we could ever test.
A quick look at this release from Appro Supercomputer solutions will show that they have already invested significantly in the Intel 710 for their new Appro Xtreme-X Supercomputer, named Gordon, which is expected to reach 35 million IOPS. It will contain 300TB of Intel 710 SSDs, each of which will definitely be over provisioned to 20%. This would equal 1920 Intel 710 SSDs in one computer system.

We think the RAID results of 554MB/s read and 414MB/s write are excellent and the resulting IOPS of 50094 read and 44842 write (as shown in Anvil) are well above what we originally expected.
