RANDOM PERFORMANCE BENCHMARKS
4K RANDOM WRITE/READ
We precondition our enterprise SSDs using 100% random 4K writes at QD256 for two drive fills. Performance data is recorded every second. We track this data to monitor the enterprise SSDs transition to steady-state and to verify that steady-state conditions are achieved before initiating queue depth testing. Steady-state is established after a full drive fill and the average steady-state 4K random write performance is approximately 518K IOPS.
The listed spec for low 4K random write IOPS is 450K while we received 518K average steady-state IOPS which was, once again, above listed spec. This is the top score received for 1-DPWD SSDs to date.
The listed spec for the SMI MonTitan is 3500K IOPS for sustained random read 4K IOPS during steady-state operation and our testing hit 3285K IOPS, just below listed spec.
4K 70/30
The SMI MonTitan realized a performance result average of 973K in our 4K 70/30 profile which was on the lower end of the spectrum for this workload.
4K 50/50
The MonTitan pulled off an average performance result of 703K IOPS through QD128-QD4096.
