OCZ Z-Drive R4 & Revo x3 Ready For Computex – Imagine Speeds of 2.7GB/s and 330000 IOPS

Well it had to happen and we said so on the first day that SandForce unveiled its SATA 3 SSD processor.

It seems, that OCZ is ready to unveil their new Revo x3 and Enterprize Z-Drive R4 SSD line at Computex and we are going to be right there to get it out to you first!

The SSD Review is going to Computex!

As shocking as the thought of 2.7GB/s transfer speeds and 330000 IOPS are, we were surprised to see that OCZ is doing very good things with their recent Indilinx purchase in the form of a SATA 6Gbps controller.

Although OCZ is remaining very tight lipped about this picture, we believe it is the new Revo x3 with 4x SF-2582 controllers which means this PCIe card will be the fastest consumer available storage solution available.

They have also come out with what would be considered the first hybrid HDD/SSD PCIe SSD which would mean we would actually see a hard drive integrated into a PCIe card with the SSD as cache!

Hang along from with us through Computex to get the goods on OCZ and just about every other SSD manufacturer that we bump into.

OCZ Technology to Highlight New Consumer and Enterprise Storage Solutions at Computex 2011

SAN JOSE, CA – May 24, 2011 – OCZ Technology Group, Inc. (Nasdaq:OCZ), a leading provider of high-performance solid-state drives (SSDs) for computing devices and systems, will showcase their latest flash storage technologies at Computex Taipei 2011. As an innovator in the global SSD market, OCZ will display their newest solutions that deliver the highest levels of performance and cost efficiency.

“Computex Taipei is the ideal venue to unveil our next generation SSD solutions for HPC and enterprise clients,” said Alex Mei, CMO of OCZ Technology Group. “This year we are pushing the envelope once again, showcasing the newest SATA 6Gbps INDILINX controller, the next generation best-of-breed MLC based enterprise PCIe drives, and innovative hybrid SSDs and caching solutions.”

Highlights at the OCZ product showcase include the all-new VCA enabled, Z-Drive R4 PCIe SSD line, capable of up to 2.7GB/s and 330,000 4KB random write IOPS. This PCIe based enterprise solution enables maximum performance in datacenters and delivers the highest 4K random write performance of any SSD available today. It supports a host of enterprise features and enables use of the newest low cost Sync Mode 2xnm NAND flash technology.

The RevoDrive 3, a next generation bootable PCI-Express SSD, designed for high-performance gaming PCs and workstations, will also be on display. Leveraging our proprietary VCA technology the RevoDrive 3 can accommodate a wide range of applications including multi-media creation and management applications, all while delivering a state-of-the-art computing experience.

In addition, OCZ will demonstrate the first hybrid HDD/SSD PCIe SSD from the RevoDrive family, which utilizes a large high speed NAND flash cache coupled with high density rotational media, to deliver maximized performance to density ratios for workstation usage.

OCZ solutions will be on display at Computex Taipei 2011 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in suite 1003 from May 31- June 2.
