ADATA Announces SSD Toolbox Software

ADATA Technology, a global provider of flash storage and memory products, is announcing the release of their own proprietary SSD Toolbox software for monitoring status and performance of ADATA solid state drives (SSDs).  The ADATA SSD Toolbox enables users to easily and quickly configure, optimize, and monitor the overall health of their ADATA solid state drive.  ADATA now joins a growing lists of SSD manufacturers who realize the value of providing their own version of such software tools, rather than relying on third-party solutions.

The ADATA SSD Toolbox gives the ability for users to audit drive health and remaining drive life via Self-Monitoring, Analysis, and Reporting Technology (S.M.A.R.T.) attributes.  Users can also monitor their SSD’s current operating temperature, drive capacity and space used / available space.  Featured utilities included in the SSD Toolbox are security erase, firmware update, and SSD Toolbox update.  The security erase feature wipes all data from the SSD and restores it to its factory default condition and settings.  ADATA’s SSD Toolbox includes both SSD and OS (operating system) optimization functions.

ADATA’s SSD Toolbox also features two diagnostic options — Quick Diagnostics and Full Diagnostics.  Quick Diagnostics runs basic tests on the selected SSD, while Full Diagnostics runs extended testing on the drive and takes more time.  Having two scan choices lets users choose the degree of problem detection they desire based on resources and time available.  ADATA’s SSD Toolbox currently supports Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1 operating systems; both 32-bit and 64-bit versions.
