ADATA Announces IHHS312 Industrial Half-Slim SSD

ADATA Technology, a leading producer of high-performance DRAM modules and NAND Flash devices, is announcing the IHHS312, a high-performance SATA 6 Gb/s 22-pin, half-slim SSD built on the MO-297 form factor. The IHHS312 will be offered in capacities of 8GB, 16GB, 32GB, 64GB, 128GB and 256GB to meet the various needs of IPC embedded systems, factory automation, healthcare and medical devices, kiosk and point-of-sale (POS) systems.

IHHS312 HALF SLIM BANNERThe IHHS312 features MLC NAND Flash, providing superior performance and reliability, with sequential read speeds of up to 500MB/s and sequential write speeds of up to 125MB/s. Mean time between failures is stated as up to 1,000,000 hours, with an industrial-grade temperature range of -40 and +85 degrees Celsius, making it ideal for harsh environments and for long-term operation.

IHHS FRONTTo enhance the reliability required for industrial-grade applications, and to do so at a reasonable cost, ADATA has developed their “A + SLC” solution, which effectively improves the performance, life span and durability by more than three times that of a standard MLC-only drive. ADATA is able to create a solution that is much closer to what it would be with all-SLC-grade flash, but at a price point nearly 80% lower than that of an all-SLC drive.

IHHS312 REARADATA’s IHHS312 supports S.M.A.R.T. drive performance and health monitoring attributes, and adds power-loss capacitors for “Power-Loss Protection” (PLP), helping to avert data loss in the event of unanticipated power loss or interruption. It also offers Open API technology to help monitor bad blocks, drive life, drive operating temperature, erase count, wear-leveling and total amount of data written. In addition, users are able to download and install ADATA’s SSD Toolbox software to verify their drive’s information and to configure system settings such as overprovisioning.
