3D MARK STORAGE GAMING BENCHMARK
UL Solutions has created a new storage gaming benchmark that we will start to use as new SSDs come in. The 3DMark Storage Benchmark DLC extends 3DMark Advanced Edition with a dedicated component test for measuring the gaming performance of SSDs and other storage hardware. It supports all the latest storage technologies and tests practical, real-world gaming performance for activities such as loading games, saving progress, installing game files, and recording gameplay video streams.
The KIOXIA Exceria Plkus G4 Gen5 DRAMless SSD surpassed a few Gen5 SSDs in this 3DMark Storage Benchmark.
REPORT ANALYSIS AND FINAL THOUGHTS
The KIOXIA Exceria Plus G4 DRAMless Gen5 2TB SSD did very well, and better than expected in fact, when we consider it reached the top 10 results Passmark Performance Test DiskMark and Final Fantasy Game Loading Benchmarks. Even in Crystal Diskmark, its low 4K random write result of 485MB/s was a simply amazing result. Without question, the Exceria Plus reached its listed specifications with read and write results with returns of 10.4GB/s read and 8.8GB/s write.
The beauty of the KIOXIA Exceria Plus G4 Gen5 DRAMless 2TB SSD is that it is probably an ideal candidate for any laptop considering we found it to be a very cool running SSD, regardless of the tests performed.
