RANDOM PERFORMANCE BENCHMARKS
4K RANDOM WRITE/READ
We precondition our enterprise SSDs using 100% random 4K writes at QD256 for two drive fills. Performance data is recorded every second. We track this data to monitor the enterprise SSDs transition to steady-state and to verify that steady-state conditions are achieved before initiating queue depth testing. Steady-state is established after a full drive fill and the average steady-state 4K random write performance is approximately 480K IOPS.
The listed spec for low 4K random write IOPS is 500K and the R6101 averaged 480K IOPS. The other two SSDs tested that have a 1-DWPD rating and are the same capacity are the Memblaze 7A40 and Kingston DC3000ME, both of which pulled off better results.
The listed spec for the Dapustor Roealsen6 R6101 Gen5 SSD is 3400K IOPS for sustained random read 4K IOPS during steady-state operation and our testing hit 3472K IOPS. This is our top result to date.
4K 70/30
The R6101 realized a performance result average of 900K in our 4K 70/30 profile.
4K 50/50
The R6101pulled off an average performance result of 647K IOPS through QD128-QD4096.
