Micron’s Jeremy Werner’s Keynote Highlights Their Newest HBM4 Release with Speeds Above 2TB/s

Emerging technologies are always an interest when it comes to flash and Micron’s newest HBM4 is a perfect example of that.  HBM, standing for high bandwidth memory is just that and is used in applications such as AI accelerators where they are able to respond to the users query more quickly and reason more efficiently.

HBM4 uses 3D-stacking and is a 12-high stack at a capacity of 36GB with speeds in excess of 2TB/s.  This equates to a 60% improvement over HBM3E and 20% more power efficiency. The HBM4 has a 2048-Bit interface.  Simply put,  HBM4 offers a very high data rate and is used in AI and high end graphics processing.

Pretty interesting stuff… oh but that’s not all.  It seems that I missed Micron’s SVP & GM Core Data Center Business Unit Jeremy Werner’s Keynote address at the Flash Memory Summit 2025.  No names mentioned but I think a competitor intentionally booked our briefing during this hoping I would’t notice.  I didn’t.  But hey…what are friends for right?  Stay tuned as I will post the personal Keynote Jeremy afforded myself and a smal crowd later on that date!
