Hello this is a very good post and i am in the market for a video editing raid setup for a client. i have been looking into making a small production share that my client can edit video on that would be blazing fast. i know that video editing has different characteristics then other file sharing, and linear read is king from what i am reading. SSD drives fall short in that department other than the intel 510 ssd drive which has lower performance everywhere else. any input would be appreciated. i also have a report that was done on my shares that shows the iops and other info over a 24 hour period if that helps. thank you.
