These Samsung PCIe M.2 drives are not being released to general retail but only to OEMs (at least this was the case for the XP 941). This means that they will be very difficult to obtain, and likely if available will be exorbitantly priced…

In reply to Vext. I want to know the same thing. I also want to know if I am using this drive or the sm951 if my gpu is going to be limited to pci 3.0 x8 on the z97 motherboard. Also if it is limited is it going to matter, and if it does matter at which resolutions?

I’m frustrated and maybe someone can help. I’m looking for what I feel like is some kind of magic unicorn. I’d like to build a system around a 1TB x4 PCIE 3.0 NVMe M.2 ssd. Is my best bet the Samsung SM951 ? Any other options? When can I get one at retail?
