In reply to Simon Howes. Neither solution is viable. More space means either lugging around another SSD or putting stuff online where it is no longer accessible when I am offline. So, after spending a fair bit of cash on the machine, the least they could do is let us upgrade the damn thing. 1TB is not a lot these days! I shouldn't have to juggle. G>

In reply to renosablast. Sealant is called underfill, prevents corrosion and makes a stronger bid between PCB and components from vibration and stress. The watery looking part is excess flux.

In reply to MrBungleBear. If you’re out of internal storage, this is an operational issue. Get those files off the drive, or purchase iCloud storage which will take them off. A full drive also shortens an SSDs life.

In reply to MrBungleBear. There is no shoehorn for that specific MB and the best you can provide for is an external SSD such as the OWC Envoy pro.
