Yeah. Tbh, it is much more viable putting a UPS on the entire computers for $100, and just kitting out your motherboard with RAM to use as a drive. Many motherboards will support > 128 GB…so this price is ridiculous for such a thing.

Their video makes it look like they’re chasing the bottom end of FusionIO’s market (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b2Chq5C3tio) – so that pricing is reasonable. But, if it takes 2 SODIMMs (or 3?) then the max capacity would be 32-48GB? If so it would be better to market to storage enthusiasts and go for volume? I bet their enterprise pitch will fail and we’ll see it sold to the rest of use within the year 🙂
