CRYSTALDISKMARK X64 VER. 3.0.1c
CrystalDiskMark is a disk benchmark utility that measures performance for sequential and random reads/writes of various sizes for any storage device. It is useful for comparing the speed of both portable and local storage devices.
CDM also posts identical rated performance, with fast random access. I was expecting the Phison S8 to be a tad slower, but as we see from the next batch of benchmark results below, this is clearly not the case.
AS-SSD VER. 1.6
AS-SSD Benchmark is a lightweight application that is designed to provide a simple means of evaluating the performance of SSDs. The tool contains six synthetic and three copy tests. The synthetic tests to determine the sequential and random read and write performance of the SSD. These tests are carried out without use of the operating system caches. The program comes with a copy benchmark as well as one for compression and it can also be used with hard disk drives.
Verifying the data so far, AS-SSD presents numbers identical to what we have been seeing with the other benchmark suites.
ANVIL STORAGE UTILITIES VER. 1.0.44 RC1
Anvils Storage Utilities is a powerful tool that is designed in to provide a simple means of assessing the read and write performance of a solid state drive.
Again, we see the same results repeated. The BP3 SSD is really living up to its reputation of being a fast and affordable high-capacity drive, especially since Anvil tends to be exceptionally thorough and aggressive in its testing procedure. Accordingly, the BP3 lacks in the IOPS department versus similar rated SSDs, a drawback MyDigitalSSD hopes to address with future firmware updates.
PCMARK VANTAGE PROFESSIONAL X64 VER. 188.8.131.52
PCMark Vantage measures PCMarks as an indicator of performance across a variety of common tasks such as viewing and editing photos, video, music and other media, gaming, communications, productivity and security.
Vantage scores are what we would accept. SandForce drives generally blast through the scores in the music and photo department, so the BP3 could definitely be faster in those categories.
The MyDigitalSSD BP3 is looking mighty fine right now, but before the final verdict, let us glance at the customary real-world data.
