dont think so its a great piece of software and I will gladly pay for it so will most people I think
I agree,a great piece of software but I don't think the majority of people that are looking to benchmark their drive will choose an app they have to pay for when there's a few free ones that are used in almost all reviews and do the job they want it to.
The group of people that might want to pony up for a paid Anvil Storage Utilities is small compared to a group that will use CrystalDiskMark.
The overwhelming majority of SSD benchmarks posted online in reviews and in forums are the FREE CDM.
This site's reviews and forums are the only place I see Anvil used to any degree.
When there are other free alternatives people are not going to pay for something of similar functionality - unless of course it provides a very specific funtionality for their needs that it's free competitors can't offer.
Like Bill I like Anvil a lot, but I have to agree with Smog on this one: people don't like it when they have used an app for free so far and it suddenly turns commercial. Most users would drop it when this happens, it's just human nature.
I would pay for Anvil's test before I would pay for W8.
OK guys,in what price range are you willing to dig into tour wallet to buy Anvil.
How much do you think it's worth?
$15 to $20
Yep, I wouldn't pay more than that either.
There is going to be a Free Edition
The details are not ready yet though...
I want the paid version
There will be lots of functionality in the full version(s) and I say version(s) as there might be several but I'll try not to make things too complicated.
I hope you get wealthy from your hard work
Thanks Anvil. I always support the utilities I like. You can be sure I will be first online for the Pro Version.
+1...I'm also a regular follower of the ssd endurance thread on Exteme Systems, very informative stuff.
I see this thread was never updated to show release of the ASU Pro Edition RC3
EDIT:RC1 and RC2 have expired
RC5 now released...
