The SSD Review Daily News For Sunday Feb 5, 2012 – I Love My SSD Edition!

You will have to trust me when I relate that I have had more than a few laptops throughout the years.  I never really cared about the way they looked or ran, so long as I could check e-mail, play a few games and access Facebook.

That was up until Les handed me this Lenovo U265 clementine orange Ultra with an SSD; now I am up an running in seconds.  This, of course, means that I no longer have time to walk away while it starts, and again, when it is shutting down.

If you haven’t an SSD yet, you are missing out on a totally different experience in computing.  Truly, words alone cannot fully describe the performance upgrade!


Over the past year the SSD market has exploded with more companies producing these drives almost on a daily basis. In the past only a few names, which included Intel, Kingston and OCZ, were the only game in town if you wanted an SSD. Well times have changed and there are numerous brand choices…
