Seagate Announces New Nytro Flash Products To Expand Flash Portfolio — Flash Memory Summit 2015 Update

Seagate Technology plc, a world leading producer of storage devices, is announcing the new Nytro XF1440 (2.5″) and Nytro XM1440 (M.2) NVMe solid state drives (SSDs).  Also being announced is the XP6500 Flash Accelerator Card.  These latest offerings from Seagate further expand their flash-based solutions portfolio, which are easily combined with Seagate storage products to satisfy nearly any data storage requirements.

Seagate Nytro FMS bannerBoth cloud and enterprise end users, along with cloud OEMs and system partners, will benefit from these new products and their highest levels of reliability and endurance.  The new drives and the accelerator card are geared toward demanding enterprise applications, including online transaction processing (OTLP), high-performance computing (HPC), high frequency trading, data warehousing/mining/analytics, and mixed workloads of varying I/O sizes and multiple applications being utilized simultaneously.

    Damn, those are really SUPERcaps. I almost thought they were batteries. The heat sinking is equally impressive. This board is meant to handle extreme write environments, Just waiting for the water cooled versions. 🙂
