Mushkin, Inc., a premier designer and producer of high-performance computer products, has announced the official launch of their new Scorpion Deluxe PCIe SSD. The Scorpion Deluxe utilizes a quartet of SandForce controllers to achieve amazing performance.
Mushkin’s original Scorpion PCIe SSD was targeted to designers of multimedia to offer a scalable 4-way format and maximum performance. The new Scorpion Deluxe PCIe SSD is rated at up to 2150 MB/s read speeds, and up to 2000 MB/s write speeds. Random 4K IOPS range from 50,000-87,000 reads (depending on capacity); and 105,000-107,000 writes. The Scorpion Deluxe utilizes quad SandForce SF-2281 controllers with un-throttled IOPS. These amazing speeds are attained by utilizing the bandwidth of a PCIe 2.0 X 8 interface.

The Scorpion Deluxe PCIe SSD is offered in capacities of 240GB, 480GB, 960GB and 1920GB. Mushkin rates the Scorpion Deluxe at 1,000,000 hours mean time between failures (MTBF) and backs it with a three-year warranty. It will be available worldwide later this month.
