Kingston ‘LSI SandForce’ M.2 SSD Discovered Hidden Away At SATA-IO Booth – Storage Visions 2014 Update

Finding SSDs at Storage Visions 2014 was definitely reminiscent to a Easter Egg Hunt as some of the best finds were not found at manufacturer’s booths, many manufacturers not even present at Storage Visions.  Such is the case with a Kingston ‘LSI SandForce Driven’ M.2 SSD we found buried within the literature at the SATA-IO Display.

As much as we would like to have seen the new SF-3700 controller, capable of blazing 1.8GB/s speeds, this M.2 SSD was a SATA varient with the SF-2281 SATA 3 controller and Toshiba NAND flash memory.  Maybe in a few days….

    What’s the word from the manufacturers on PCIe M.2 models Les – has anyone but Samsung (XP941) got one in production in sizes larger than 128GB?
