I purchased a OCZ Vertex 3, and unlike many people I'm unfortunately stuck with a SATA 2 motherboard for the time being. Anyhow I thought it would be a great idea to get a SATA 3 controller card which plugs into my PCI-E slot, however I've been getting EXTREMELY disappointing results in benchmarks with the Highpoint 620 Rocket SATA 3 card:
And here's some comparisons vs my SATA 2 port on my Gigabyte X38 motherboard:
So what do you think, I've updated drivers (both for SSD and controller), have AHCI enabled, could I be possibly missing certain things, is it a all around bad card, and last but not least does anyone have another brand SATA 3 controller that works at the rated speeds? Obviously I'm missing out on a lot from not getting the full use of a SATA 3 port.
